On January 21, 2025, Rep. Calvert expressed support for a recent executive order by President Trump concerning federal water policies affecting the California Bay Delta. He stated, "I welcome President Trump's executive order on federal water policies impacting operations in the California Bay Delta. We need to restore common sense policies that prioritize the water needs of our communities and farmers."

Later that day, he highlighted legislative efforts aimed at improving forest management practices. In his tweet posted on January 21, 2025, he remarked on the bipartisan Fix Our Forests Act: "The bipartisan Fix Our Forests Act would simplify and expedite environmental reviews for forest management projects as well as enact other reforms to help prevent wildfires.
