Rep. Ken Calvert, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing California's 41st District since 1993, shared a series of updates on March 3, 2025. Calvert, born in Corona, California in 1953 and an alumnus of San Diego State University, currently resides in his hometown.
In one post from March 3rd, Rep. Calvert expressed enthusiasm about the return of the Annual Congressional Art Competition. He announced that students within the district have until April 11 to submit their artwork for consideration. "I'm excited to announce the Annual Congressional Art Competition is once again underway! Students in the 41st Congressional District have until 4/11 to submit their artwork."
On the same day, Calvert emphasized his commitment to enhancing educational opportunities by supporting legislation aimed at providing tax credits for donations to scholarship organizations. He stated his role as a cosponsor of H.R. 833: "We should expand educational opportunities for all students. That's why I am a cosponsor of the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA), H.R. 833, to allow tax credits for charitable donations to scholarship organizations."
Later that day, he addressed border security with a brief statement underscoring its importance when prioritized: "Border security can be achieved if you make it a priority."
