Rep. Ken Calvert, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 41st District since 1993, recently addressed several issues through his social media platform. Born in Corona, California in 1953 and an alumnus of San Diego State University, Calvert has been active in political discourse on various matters affecting his constituents and beyond.

On January 30, 2025, Rep. Calvert expressed his condolences regarding a tragic accident over the Potomac River in Washington, DC. He stated: "Last night’s accident over the Potomac River in Washington, DC is a terrible tragedy. My prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives. We are grateful for the efforts of the first responders working in incredibly difficult conditions."

The following day, January 31, 2025, he announced the introduction of new legislation aimed at supporting conservation efforts without federal taxpayer expense. In his words: "I just introduced bipartisan, bicameral legislation along with @SenAlexPadilla and House colleagues to support Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP) activities at no cost to federal taxpayers." More details were provided via a link included in his post.

On February 1, 2025, Rep. Calvert thanked California voters for rejecting certain legislative measures he described as lenient on crime. He noted: "Thanks to California voters who rejected Democrats’ soft on crime laws, local law enforcement is restoring law and order in our communities."
