On March 25, 2025, Rep. Calvert emphasized the importance of election integrity by advocating for measures to ensure that only American citizens are eligible to vote. He stated: "These are straightforward steps that help strengthen the integrity of our elections and ensure only American citizens cast a ballot."

The following day, on March 26, 2025, he expressed support for former President Trump's stance on protecting social welfare programs. In his tweet, he noted: "Like President Trump makes clear in this interview, Republicans are protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for Americans who rely upon these important programs. Anyone suggesting otherwise is simply not telling the truth."
