Rep. Ken Calvert, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 41st District since 1993, has expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Corona, California, and an alumnus of San Diego State University, Calvert has been vocal about law enforcement, international relations, and union influence.
On February 4, 2025, Rep. Ken Calvert addressed the actions of protestors in Riverside County by stating that "The First Amendment right to protest does NOT include the right to throw rocks and bottles at law enforcement. This assault on Riverside County Sheriffs Deputies by pro-immigration protestors is despicable."
The following day, February 5, 2025, he commented on international security matters between the United States and Israel by affirming that "The US and Israel are completely aligned - Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon."
Later that same day, Calvert criticized Democratic leaders' priorities during the pandemic regarding teachers' unions and federal employee unions. He stated that "Democrats in power put the demands of teachers’ unions ahead of the needs of students during the pandemic. Now, Democrat leaders are putting their loyalty to federal employee unions ahead of you, the American taxpayer."
