State Senator Kelly Seyarto, District 32 | Official U.S. Senate headshot
Senator Kelly Seyarto of Murrieta has been appointed to serve on seven Senate committees for the 2025-2026 legislative session. The appointments were made by Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire. Senator Seyarto will hold the position of Vice-Chair in four of these committees.
The committees include Appropriations, where he will serve as Vice-Chair, Budget and Fiscal Review (Subcommittee #5 on Corrections, Judiciary, Labor, and Transportation), Housing as Vice-Chair, Local Government, Natural Resources as Vice-Chair, Public Safety as Vice-Chair, and Transportation.
"I am honored to continue serving on these key committees which address a wide range of critical issues directly impacting the communities of our 32nd Senate District,” stated Senator Seyarto. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to develop practical and meaningful solutions that reflect the trust and priorities of the people we serve."
Senator Seyarto began his tenure in the State Senate in 2022 after two years in the State Assembly. His prior experience includes roles as Mayor and Councilmember for Murrieta. He also had a long career in fire service spanning 35 years before retiring as Battalion Chief from the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 2015.
