Former Vista Murrieta High School standout Penelope Foote and her Henderson State Reddies team were defeated 8-0 by the Delta State Lady Statesmen in an NCAA Division II softball game at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
The contest, held at Delta University Field, marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In their earlier matchup that same day, the Reddies dropped a 4-2 decision to the Lady Statesmen.
Foote finished the game with one hit in three plate appearances.
The Reddies are set to take on Harding Bison at Harding Softball Field on Friday, March 6, at 4 p.m. for their next contest.
