Former Liberty High School standout Janessa Giugliano contributed on the mound as the UCCS Mountain Lions earned a 9-8 win over the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in an NCAA Division II softball game held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
The contest was played at Aspen Field and marked the teams’ fourth meeting of the season. Earlier that same day, the Mountain Lions defeated the Skyhawks 10-4.
Giugliano pitched three innings, giving up one earned run with one walk and two strikeouts.
The Mountain Lions are set to play their next game on Saturday, March 21, at 12 p.m., hosting the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls at Mountain Lion Field.
