On March 13, 2025, Calvert expressed his concerns regarding healthcare policies for immigrants. He stated: "It's unfair and unsustainable to ask taxpayers to pay for free healthcare for illegal immigrants. We must ensure NO federal tax dollars go directly or indirectly to support the irresponsible policy decision by CA Democrats to provide Medi-Cal benefits to illegal immigrants."

Later that day, he addressed a community issue involving a local religious institution. He tweeted: "We stand in solidarity with our neighbors at the BAPS Hindu Temple and the Hindu community following this despicable act."

On March 14, 2025, Calvert commented on a legislative matter concerning budgetary allocations and military funding.
