Rep. Ken Calvert, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 41st District since 1993, recently shared his views on various issues through social media posts. The tweets, dated March 10 and 11, 2025, touch upon topics such as community solidarity against hate acts, legislative actions regarding military pay raises, and efforts to prevent a government shutdown.

On March 10, Rep. Calvert addressed incidents of discrimination in communities by stating: "There's no place in our communities for these discriminatory acts of hate. We stand with our Hindu neighbors."

The following day, on March 11, he questioned the stance of House Democrats regarding certain legislative measures: "I wonder why? Last week, House Democrats couldn’t stand for a child battling cancer and families who lost loved ones to criminals. This week, House Democrats are opposing a bill that includes the largest pay raise for junior enlisted troops in over 40 years."

Later that day, Rep. Calvert announced his vote in favor of a Continuing Resolution aimed at preventing a government shutdown: "I just voted for the Continuing Resolution to prevent a government shutdown. While my preference is always to pass individual appropriations bills, I believe we must take every possible step to avoid a government shutdown – which is what this bill achieves." He emphasized his role as Chairman while expressing his approach toward budgetary legislation.
