On Sunday, March 23, former Chaparral High School standout Phoenix Sommay’s current college team, the Cal State San Marcos Cougars, lost 3-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the San Francisco State Gators.

The game took place at Maloney Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Gators this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. at CSUSM Baseball Field against Cal Poly Pomona Broncos.
