On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Murrieta Valley High School standout Makayla Westmoreland’s current college team, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, lost 7-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Metro State Roadrunners.

The game took place at Assembly Athletic Complex. This was their fourth matchup against the Roadrunners this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at CMU Softball Field against Colorado Mines Orediggers.
