On Friday, Feb. 28, former Vista Murrieta High School standout Luke Matthews’ current college team, the Kent State Golden Flashes, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the East Carolina Pirates.

The game took place at Clark–LeClair Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Pirates this season.

The Golden Flashes’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Clark–LeClair Stadium against Virginia Tech Hokies.
