Rep. Ken Calvert has been active on social media, expressing concerns and priorities in his recent statements. Representing California’s 41st District since 1993, Calvert has been vocal about issues such as tax policies, forest management, and public safety.
On April 8, 2025, Calvert stated, “Keeping taxes low for my constituents is one of my top priorities in Congress. Passing a budget resolution is a key step in preventing the 2017 tax cuts from expiring, providing parents with a larger child tax credit, and making ‘no tax on tips’ a reality.”
Later that day, he expressed appreciation for forest management efforts, “I applaud @SecRollins for utilizing a Biden-era authority to expand as well as expedite the removal of dead trees to reduce fire threats and increase U.S. timber production. Better forest management can protect resources, reduce wildfire dangers, and grow our economy.”
In a subsequent post, Calvert addressed public safety concerns, stating, “According to this reporting, 13-year-old Oscar Omar Hernandez was murdered by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, who was investigated multiple times in LA County for sexual assault. Sanctuary policies continue to put our residents in danger.”
