Ken Calvert, a long-serving U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District since 1993, recently shared his legislative initiatives and perspectives through a series of tweets. Born in Corona, California in 1953, Calvert graduated from San Diego State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

On March 14, 2025, Ken Calvert highlighted the importance of water infrastructure investments. He announced the introduction of a bipartisan bill aimed at reforming the federal permitting process to align with construction timelines for water projects. In his tweet, he stated: “Water infrastructure investments across the country are critical to maintaining our access to clean & reliable water supplies. I just introduced a bipartisan bill with @RepGaramendi to reform our federal permitting process to correspond to the time it takes to build water…”

Later that day, Calvert emphasized the benefits of replacing old diesel engines with cleaner alternatives. He mentioned his collaboration with other representatives on this issue: “Replacing old diesel engines with newer cleaner burning engines provides significant clean air and health benefits for our communities. On March 15, 2025, Calvert expressed gratitude towards former President Trump and CENTCOM Forces for their role in eliminating a terror threat: “Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and the dedication of @CENTCOM Forces this terror threat has been eliminated.”
