Rep. Ken Calvert, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 41st District since 1993, recently shared his perspectives on various policy issues through a series of tweets. Born in Corona, California, in 1953 and a graduate of San Diego State University, Calvert has been active in political discourse for decades.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Calvert emphasized the importance of election integrity by advocating for measures to ensure that only American citizens are eligible to vote. He stated: “These are straightforward steps that help strengthen the integrity of our elections and ensure only American citizens cast a ballot.”

The following day, on March 26, 2025, he expressed support for former President Trump’s stance on protecting social welfare programs. In his tweet, he noted: “Like President Trump makes clear in this interview, Republicans are protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for Americans who rely upon these important programs. Anyone suggesting otherwise is simply not telling the truth.”

Later that day, Rep. Calvert addressed educational opportunities by highlighting his co-sponsorship of the bipartisan Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act. He tweeted: “There are a variety of education paths that students can pursue in preparation to join the workforce. I’ve cosponsored the bipartisan Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act, which would permit the use of 529 account funds to pay for post-secondary training programs.”
