Former Great Oak High School athlete Makyia Taylor and her college team, the Howard Bison, were defeated 9-0 by the Arizona Wildcats in their NCAA Division I softball contest on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 4:30 p.m.
The matchup, which took place at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium, marked the Bison’s first game this season facing the Wildcats.
Taylor contributed one hit over two at-bats.
Howard is set to play against Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
