Former Vista Murrieta High School standout Penelope Foote helped lead the Henderson State Reddies to a 7-2 victory over the Arkansas–Monticello Cotton Blossoms in their NCAA Division II softball game, held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m.
The matchup was played at Dee White Field and marked the second meeting of the season between the teams. Their prior contest, on Friday, Feb. 27, resulted in a 2-1 defeat for the Reddies.
Foote contributed one hit in three at-bats, collecting one run, one RBI and drawing one walk.
The Reddies will face the Cotton Blossoms again in their next scheduled game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Dee White Field.
