At noon on Sunday, March 1, former Elite Academic Academy standout Chad Naf helped lead his current team, the Colorado Christian Cougars, to a 16-3 victory over the Colorado Mines Orediggers in NCAA Division II baseball.
Jim Darden Field served as the venue for the matchup, which marked the teams’ third meeting this season. The Cougars had dropped their previous game on Saturday, Feb. 28, falling 18-6 to the Orediggers.
Naf pitched six innings, giving up three earned runs while tallying three strikeouts and one walk.
The Cougars return to play Thursday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at All Star Park, where they will face the UCCS Mountain Lions.
