At 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, Brandon Bollerer, a former Lakeside High standout, and his Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans were defeated 9-4 by the Azusa Pacific Cougars in NCAA Division II baseball action.
Cougar Baseball Complex hosted the matchup, which marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In their earlier contest on Saturday, March 14, the Vulcans were defeated 15-9 by the Cougars.
Bollerer surrendered eight earned runs across 3.1 innings while allowing three walks and striking out two.
The Vulcans will face the Azusa Pacific Cougars again at Cougar Baseball Complex on Monday, March 16, at 3 p.m.
